Stopped in for a late dinner, 10:30 pm after a night of barrel racing. Nearly empty restaurant on a Friday night, BEST waitress ever!!!! Good food, fast service and reasonably priced. What more can you ask for?

There are not many bars and restaurants in Green Cove. Ronnie's is a great place. The food is good and the beer is always cold. It's right near the river so it's a great spot. I like coming here.

We stopped in here while on vacation and spending a day on the boat. It was nice to dock the boat and walk around to discover this little place. It almost has a sports bar ambiance while still giving the family restaurant vibe. There was 6 of us and we were promptly greeted and seated immediately. They weren't too busy and our server was great and attentive. We ordered the fried blooming onion as an appetizer. Definitely beats Outbacks' by a mile. I ordered the wings and split with someone. They were great and tasty! My boyfriend had the Mahi and he definitely enjoyed it. We also tried the dolphin bites, they were enjoyable. Overall, a great place to stop in for a bite to eat! Definitely recommend to anyone.

This was actually 4 months ago, and I hate to change my previous review of 5 to 1. Last night after barrel racing we stopped in here to get a bite, it was 10:10pm. There were staff and people in the place but the doors were locked, nobody bothered to even come to the door. Don't say you close at 11pm if you won't let anyone in.

I will not eat at this racial place again!

No wait staff at 8:00 on a Friday night. It was my first and last time eating there. D'Fontana Pizza down the street is where we ended up, and it didn't have an empty table in the place.

If I could give this place no stars I would because it doesn't even rate 1. The service was the worst I've ever had in my life and the food wasn't any better. All of it was cold and soggy and just plain gross!

Decent pub food. Reasonable prices. However, I've been to Ronnies twice with a group. The group called ahead in advance to let them know how many of us were coming. They were not able to handle us in a competent manner. Ronnies might be ok for a party of two or four. But not 20 or 30.

I want to love this place, I honestly do. But they make it hard to get past the "it's OK" status. I've never had what I would consider a snippy waitress here like others claim, but I'll dish out banter with a smile as I get it and it typically stops or becomes entertainment for both of us. I can see "city folk" being turned off here but that attitude does not belong in Green Cove, does it? Now for the review... I come here a few times a year, spend big, and would come more if their bar selection was not so dismal. That and the bartenders need a refresher in mixology. Simpy put, they say they are always out of this or that, but after a few times there you realize that just do not carry it. I never understood that. The markup is so high for liquor that it makes no sense to not keep on hand a few top shelf bourbon, vodka, whiskey, and tequila staples if just to display them! That and the draft beer selection blows. Somebody needs to call Bar Rescue on them. Now the good stuff. Food is decent for the price. I love Whitey's but I gotta say the oysters and wings are consistently larger and better at Ronnies. Decor is a bit dated but service is good for me (refer to my intro points). Live music on the weekends and I always seem to meet really good people there or see people I know. Summary (in my opinion): Ronnies caters to Green Cove Springs and only steps up as high as it feels it needs to for regulars. A little attention could go a long way in making this a place where people line up to get in. As of this review, though, I don't see it.

We had a party of 8 that stopped in for a cold drink and mid day snacks. Our waitress was downright snippy & rude when I asked for a diet dr pepper- which was on the menu. Wings were fried hard to the point of almost being inedible. Served on a plate who's entire edge was cracked off and broken. Other food items were average.

This place has really made VAST improvements in the last few years. The salads are awesome, really huge. And the food is really tasty and not what was being served here a few years back! My hubby talked me into giving it another try and I man glad I did. I dont eat fried but my husband loves fried, and he is always happy with what he gets. Especially the calm roll. I tried the burger after I drank more than I should one night and needed food so I could make it to the gym the next day, Linda suggested the burger which I tried years ago and did not like, she promised me I would be happy and HAPPY I WAS, excellent and the fries are really tasty, maybe too tasty. The staff seems to be really good and friendly ,"no attitude", which is what I use to get here from a little gal who was old enough to run liquor but not old enough to know that having an 'Attitude" about your own greatness really pisses people off... I cannot forget to mention Linda the bartender, who is a pleasure! This is not Le cirque, this is a bar restaurant in Green Cove Springs that caters to retirees and working people....No frills...If you are unhappy because cooks change, and they are dudes cooking there, men sometimes do not listen....please let the staff know, Linda gets upset with me if I don't let her know when my food is cooked wrong...

We were visiting FL and saw the ad in a travel brochure and figured it would be a good casual spot for lunch...wish we would have read the reviews first. I think we got the same snippy waitress and chipped plate. It wasn't all that busy and before noon, but the order took a long time, as well. The 1/2 lb of shrimp doesn't come with anything, had very little taste, and wasn't cleaned well. We tried to add salt to the fries, but it didn't do much for their blandness either. We like to try different local places when on vacation, but this was an instance when a tried and true chain restaurant would have been the better choice! A great wait staff can help overcome so-so food or great food help so-so staff, but neither happened here unfortunately.
